Before and After Bathroom

We did a little remodeling in our master bathroom. It's not completely finished yet, I still want to add tile, frame the mirrors and finish bead board around the rest of the room, but the tub is in and BEAUTIFUL! There's a sweet story behind this tub...

While we were house shopping, I really wanted a master bath with a big tub. Every house that had one, there were other major things we didn't like. Well, the house we bought had potential for one so I was willing to wait for the big tub. As soon as we went under contract on the house, I was looking on KSL free classifieds (which I never do!) and there was someone in South Jordan giving away a FREE DOUBLE WIDE JETTED TUB! amazing! So, my awesome brother-in-law went and picked it up for us and we put it in storage. It sat in storage until a few months ago when I was 7 months pregnant, and VERY VERY uncomfortable. Most of my discomfort was from sitting at a desk all day at work. My body just ached all day and was moving and shifting from being pregnant. I stayed in a few hotels and didn't get a room with a big tub, I tried to soak in my tub and lets just say pregnant women don't fit in tubs very well!

So I came home one day from the store and when I walked in my bathroom Jeffrey had ripped the old tub out and was planning to instal my new tub! I asked him what he was doing and he just smiled and said, "I think you deserve a bigger tub, and I feel so bad you haven't gotten one yet" Can I just say I think I married the greatest man ever! My sweet, nerdy computer programming husband installed not only a new tub, and did all the finishing work, but he also bought me a new water heater so that I could fill the tub up! What a guy!

The old tub and the cutest man alive!

He got it all up and working before the finishing work so i could take a bath the next day!
Here is the finished product! Isn't it awesome?! He did such a great job on the moldings and walls! I painted the room blue and added some fun candle holders, bird cages and painted a frame to go with the most perfect poster! I have a very happy serene place in my home, thanks Jeffrey for putting up with the princess side of me!

You lucky girl! I would absolutely loooove a big jetted bathtub. That's definitely in the plans for my dream home. We'll see how long it takes us to reach that dream....
